Anti-Harassment and Anti-Discrimination Policy
Ethically and legally, a company has a distinct existence apart from any of its members. We view our company as a community of various stakeholders – owners, managers, employees, clients, and vendors. Inevitably, there will arise conflict and competing interests among stakeholders, and in every such situation, we are guided by two sometimes competing principles: treat others as you would want to be treated if you were in their place and put the needs of the company first. Whatever our role, if we are guided by these rules and appropriately balance and reconcile them, we will work sincerely and honestly for each other’s success, and in so doing will ensure our own success, individually and as a company. In pursuit of profit, a company as a legal entity must never forget that it is bound not only by its own moral compass, but by the laws and ethics of society. While those rules and our own ethics do not allow discrimination against any legal class of persons for any reason, we go further and will not tolerate disrespect to any individual within our community. Legally recognized protected classes bars discrimination based on Race, Color, National origin, Religion, Sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, and related medical conditions), Disability: physical or mental, Age (18 and older), Genetic information, Marital status, Sexual orientation (includes perceived sexual orientation), Lawful use of any product or lawful recreational activities when not at work, Military status or service, Observance of Sabbath, Political activities, Use of service dog, Criminal accusation, and Domestic violence victim status. The company does not tolerate harassment or discrimination against any employee for any reason whatsoever, whether the targeted employee is a member of any legally-recognized protected class or not. The company will investigate any and all claims of harassment or www.colangelopr.com discrimination promptly and aggressively. Any such claims should be reported immediately in the manner most comfortable for the reporting employee – to the employee’s group leader, another group leader, someone in our HR department, or one of the company partners. Any employee witnessing an incidence of harassment or discrimination is required to report the incident in the same manner, even if the reporting employee is not a target of the incident. The claimant will be notified of any action taken in response to their claim. This applies to all types of harassment and discrimination by any employee or outside party.

Sexual Harassment
The company does not tolerate sexual harassment and, as with the above anti-harassment/anti-discrimination policy, employees are required to report all incidents of sexual harassment. Sexual harassment, a form of gender-based discrimination, is unwelcome verbal or physical behavior based on a person’s gender. All employees are required to take an annual anti-sexual harassment training. New hires must take the training within a month of their start date.
