Advocating for a #WhiteWineEmoji on Behalf of Jackson Family Wines

In Summer 2018, America’s #1 selling Chardonnay producer Kendall-Jackson Winery proposed creating a white wine emoji to Unicode—the governing body that sets global coding standards—through a fifteen-page petition. Our team broke the story to media outlets through a series of exclusives, followed by wide-scale media pitching with a result of 479 media placements, including Forbes, The New York Times, USA Today, and 2.5 billion impressions in just under six months of execution. Our team also created buzz on social media through influencer marketing campaigns. Kendall-Jackson was awarded a ‘Vinnie’ (best-in-category winner) for the campaign in the Wine Marketing Awards Integrated Marketing category.
