After the successful 2017 launch of their premium whiskey, Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co. returned to Colangelo & Partners to assist with launching their newest product, the Peerless Small Batch Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey. Since being forced to shut down their production due to prohibition, this was the first time Peerless had produced bourbon in over 100 years. To celebrate this momentous occasion Colangelo & Partners would need to execute a strategic media campaign to create buzz for the new bourbon and curate a creative launch party featuring attendance from top-tier press and relevant influencers.
Colangelo & Partners launched a strategic communications campaign campaign with a strong focus on traditional media relations in order to create buzz for the new bourbon. As part of the campaign and as an homage to the bourbon’s history, C&P also planned and executed a 1920’s speakeasy-themed event that featured a live swing band, swing dancers, a backroom for blackjack and a magician all set in an authentic vintage New York Speakeasy.
Colangelo & Partners secured coverage in prominent men’s lifestyle and spirits publications such as Maxim, VinePair, Town & Country, WhiskyCast, UPROXX, My Recipes and more. Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co. received over 30 million impressions in just 6 months. The launch event brought together the spirits industries top writers and influencers for a night filled with old fashions and jazz music.
